ABC7 Salutes - Village for Vets helps homeless, at-risk vets in Los Angeles navigate VA services

We were so honored that ABC7 Salutes shone a light on our food first program by featuring us in their segment on Friday, July 30, 2021! You can watch the full segment and see behind the scenes photos below.

In partnership with Brentwood School, UCLA, Westside Food Bank, and Kai's Catering, our food first program provides meals for homeless veterans 365 days a year at the VA West Los Angeles, and provides mixed food boxes to food insecure veterans in over 20 supportive housing locations across Los Angeles. That totals over 5,000 meals every month delivered directly to veterans in need.

Hunger is a critical and growing challenge for homeless and at-risk veterans in Los Angeles and good nutrition is an essential part of supporting veterans to become and remain housed.

Donate today to help ensure homeless and at-risk veterans don’t go hungry
