Emergency Financial Assistance

For at-risk veterans, a minor emergency can quickly lead to a major catastrophe, and a return to homelessness or worse. 

The Village for Vets Emergency Fund provides short-term financial assistance to at-risk veterans experiencing a financial emergency that imperils their housing, employment, or health. 

In 2024, 437 veterans received EFund assistance. Most emergency grants have helped veterans with housing costs, car repairs and utility payments.

None of our recipients have returned to homelessness.

Applications and referrals for emergency grants have tripled since the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis as at-risk vets are disproportionately in low-wage, part-time, or “gig” employment.

Please complete all required fields and provide supporting documentation as outlined in the application. Make sure to download and complete the Village for Vets Release of Information form (see second link below) with the application.
