We provide daily meals to homeless Veterans, in collaboration with Meals on Wheels, at the Welcome Center and HUD VASH office on the VA campus. We served 13,000 meals in 2018.
We provide Emergency Funds and Income Stipends. Three $10,000 stipends were awarded in 2019. They prevent Veterans living independently from backsliding into homelessness. Two emergency fund awards have been given so far in 2019.
Art Heals. In partnership with the VA we co-sponsor four art therapy days per year serving male and female Veterans.
Volunteers brighten a Veteran's day with regular hospital visits.
We Co-Chair this annual event at the VA campus which provides registration for housing and a variety of free services including showers, clothing, haircuts, legal and medical services and two fresh hot meals to more than 1000 grateful Veterans and their families.
We provide food for the annual event at the Welcome Center on the VA campus which draws over 100 Veterans to watch the annual game. On Sunday, February 2, 2020, Village for Vets provided a wonderful buffet for all the Veterans! See photos here.
