Veteran Street Academy

Our Mission

Veteran Street Academy supports social workers with high barrier veterans in their caseloads, partnering to provide high quality case management and freeing up social worker capacity.

How We Help

We partner with social workers and case managers to fill gaps when veterans need help. We can provide immediate access to basic living essentials and support services like:

  • Document collection/ID replacement

  • Housing navigation

  • Emergency financial assistance (eg. car repairs, unexpected medical costs)

  • Security deposit and rent support

  • Food

  • Move-In kits for new housing

  • Furniture for new housing

  • Transportation

  • Referrals to medical care, substance use and mental health treatment

  • Sleeping bag coats

  • Hygiene kits

We believe that providing support to social workers plays a critical role in in ending veteran homelessness.

It takes a village.

If you are a case manager and would like to request support please fill out and submit our Veteran Street Academy Intake Form.

We look forward to assisting you!

After being evicted, I got lost in life and turned to various negative resources for help. I’ve been chewed up and beat up on the streets. I thank Village for Vets for getting my current situation moving in a more positive direction and helping me get the ground under my feet again.
