[From Marcie’s Desk] Eye on the VA
Four years after the announcement of the new VA Master Plan, we are finally starting to see movement at the VA to address temporary and permanent housing for our veterans. This is great news for those of us who are passionate about veterans, homelessness and want to do our part to ensure that homeless veterans can find a safe home in Los Angeles.

‘Step Up on 2nd’ is opening 205 new units of permanent supportive housing for homeless veterans in 2020.

The VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (VAGLAHS) has opened A Bridge Housing facility for 50 Veterans.
Homeless Veterans are moving onto the VA Campus with their belongings. They are provided with bathrooms, hand-washing stations, showers, and the full scope of social services provided by the VA.
