Arnold Schwarzenegger donates $250K to Village for Vets for Tiny Shelter Program

Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger purchased 25 homes for homeless veterans living on the street in Los Angeles through his donation to Village for Vets. After the homes were installed by Team Rubicon volunteers, The Governor took the time to come out and personally tour the homes and talk with the veteran residents at their Holiday Party.

Today, I celebrated Christmas early. The 25 homes I donated for homeless veterans were installed here in LA. It was fantastic to spend some time with our heroes and welcome them into their new homes.
— Arnold Schwarzenegger

Our Tiny Shelter Program provides a temporary solution for homeless veterans on their journey to housing stability. These shelters, while small, provide a roof, climate control, a comfortable bed, and a locking door which is a large step up from homelessness. Providing this elevated standard of living from tent encampments is not a permanent solution but an important step in providing our Nation’s heroes with safety and dignity. Following Schwarzenegger’s donation, Village for Vets has received over $100k in new donations from $120+ new donors, as well as gaining thousands of new followers and millions of views.
