Nancy is a healthcare executive with several decades of accomplishments working in health systems: hospitals, physician practices, managed care organizations, insurance companies, and consulting. Leveraging her obsession with patient safety / quality of care, respect for the legal system, and entrepreneurial spirit, Nancy created VALLADATION. As Executive Director and President of VALLADATION, Nancy is committed to adding significant value to legal cases for both the defendant and plaintiff. Nancy describes her leadership style as a mix of head, heart, and humor.

Nancy’s interest in Village for Vets is rooted in her memories of her Father, Army Corporal Leo B. Valla Sr., a World War II Veteran and stories about her great uncle who fought in WWI. As with most of our U.S. Veterans loss of loved ones is a common tragedy of war. Leo and his parents (Frank and Bertha Valla) were devastated on June 1, 1943 when the news that Army Corporal Francis B. Valla (Leo’s older brother) was killed on duty in a plane crash operation in North Africa. Francis never returned home, as he was buried in a North African cemetery. Leo was involved in numerous combat missions including the Battle of Monte Cassino (Italy) in 1944 and he received a Purple Heart when he was wounded during Operation Dragoon (Anvil, Southern France) in August of 1944. Leo did return home, married (Betty Donnelly Valla), and raised seven children in Kansas City, Missouri.
